Authentication Bypass Flaw in Asus Router
1. ASUS released updates for a critical router flaw (CVE-2024-3080, CVSS 9.8) allowing authentication bypass.
2. This flaw lets unauthenticated remote attackers log into certain ASUS routers, per TWCERT/CC.
3. ASUS also fixed a high-severity buffer overflow flaw (CVE-2024-3079, CVSS 7.2).
4. The buffer overflow can be exploited by remote attackers with admin privileges.
5. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary commands on the device.
